MO1050: Bespoke Interior Fit-Out for a House Yacht

The MO1050 is an example of how high-quality interior fit-out can be realised on the water. The project combines a nautical platform with a carefully planned interior, integrated functions and precisely executed details.

The design concept was developed together with our sister company, Kroeze Interieur. Schwanekamp Interior was involved as the partner for planning, technical development, project management and manufacture. Our role lies at the interface between design and execution: understanding requirements, developing solutions, coordinating interfaces and delivering the fit-out reliably.

Spatial quality on a compact footprint

The MO1050 was developed with the aim of combining residential comfort with mobility on the water. Despite its compact dimensions, the interior feels spacious. The level, step-free layout and the open connection between the living area, kitchen and sleeping area create long sightlines and fluid transitions.

Large windows strengthen the connection with the water. The surroundings become more than just a view; they become part of the spatial experience.

Integrated functions

During the planning process, technical and functional elements were integrated into the interior as discreetly as possible. These include electrically operated curtains and blinds, a television solution integrated into the ceiling, concealed LED light strips, and climate-control and ventilation systems.

Such solutions require little attention in everyday use. Their quality lies in the fact that they work effectively without dominating the design.

Materials for use and visual impact

The material concept combines warm Master Oak timber surfaces with Caesarstone worktops, designer wallcoverings, wall panelling and durable vinyl flooring.

The selection was guided by more than aesthetics. Ease of care, durability and a suitable tactile quality were equally important. The result is an interior that feels welcoming while also being suited to year-round use on the water.

From concept to manufacture

With bespoke interiors, the final result depends on more than the design alone. Technical planning, coordination between the trades and execution in the workshop are equally important.

Our in-house manufacturing and German craftsmanship allow details, junctions and built-in elements to be developed with precision. Project management ensures that design decisions, technical requirements and manufacturing processes work together.

This combination is particularly relevant for future projects: customers, architects and designers can adapt a high-quality nautical platform in many ways to meet their requirements – from the layout and materials to functions, furniture and technical integrations.

Conclusion

The MO1050 demonstrates how a considered interior can be developed from a high-quality nautical platform. Spatial planning, material selection, integrated functions, project management and precise manufacturing all work together.

This approach offers many possibilities for future house-yacht projects. Schwanekamp Interior supports designers, architects and clients in developing individual concepts technically and realising them with a high standard of execution.
