When Johann Gerhard Schwanekamp founded Schwanekamp in 1905, he probably would not have thought how the company would develop in the course of its history, which is now well over 100 years old.
At that time, employees cut the wood in the nearby forest to make church pews or tavern tables. Today, Schwanekamp Interior is a global player that is valued by customers all over the world for the very highest quality in interiors for private properties and yachts. What has remained, however, is the love for subtleties and the smallest details.
Schwanekamp has been combining art & craft for over 115 years.
Our top priority is quality and we are relentless in not cutting corners. Our aim is to take as much as possible off our customers’ hands so that they can concentrate on other matters. Our working style is pragmatic – while others are still discussing, we are already actively involved in the project. We honour our promises and stand by our agreements. Honest and respectful treatment of our employees and partners is a matter of course for us. We are flexible and adapt to changes. The customer is at the centre of all our processes and we therefore always strive to be as customer-oriented as possible.
Inspiring and vibrant corporate culture
“A company is only as good as its employees, and its employees can only be good if the company creates the right conditions for them. Trusting, human interaction, fair workplace conditions, constant exchange of information among each other, continuous further development and training as well as good teamwork are at the center of our corporate culture.
While we are all working hard on the future of our company, we are also all working hard on ourselves, so that there is a healthy force for personal responsibility, motivation, confidence and freedom for creativity. In doing so, our employees strive for perfection down to the smallest detail.”
